Ridgeway IT was formed by co-founders Richard and Tom, like-minded and with complementary backgrounds.

They saw an opportunity to develop an IT services business that provided more than just traditional IT support.

Strategically based in Oxfordshire, their objective was to provide a full range of specialisms so their customers could be sure they're getting the correct advise and support across a broad range of IT functions.

They went about building a team of people and associates that could do just that.

Today Ridgeway IT is proud to say it is the supplier of choice for businesses throughout the UK and abroad, crossing borders,  sectors and industries. At the core of this success has been a guiding principle - great customer service.

Co-founders Tom and Richard are still hands on and drive the business today. Diligently focusing on customer service, needs and building trust through dependable partnerships. 

Tom Douglas

Tom began his career in first line support before taking on various technical and management positions before being appointed Head of IT for a division at a multi-national Plc. Responsible for a portfolio of international companies his experience includes successfully delivering high value operational programmes at Olympic Games, Football World Cups, Rugby World Cups and Lions Tours.  

 

Outside of critical operational delivery Tom built and managed multi-disciplined teams, defined and led innovational strategies and delivered a number of transformational initiatives.

I've always enjoyed helping businesses, understanding needs, finding solutions and delivering dependable and reliable results. Supported by the team, this remains one of our core service objectives and backed by great customer service.

Community Partnerships

With our strong partnership values we're pleased to say we're recently agreed to sponsor the local under 10's football team, supplying the squad with shirts, shorts and match day equipment.

 

Their approach to leadership and development ethics struck an instant cord with the management team and we are delighted to be able to support them on their footballing journey.

Complementing Tom's managerial focus, Richard has over 25 years of technical experience from 1st line support through to highly qualified field engineer and senior consultant. Richard has worked in some challenging environments using practical experience to deliver tailored solutions.

Richard Newman

As a field engineer his portfolio of work covers small businesses, schools, colleges, large enterprise businesses, public and private sector organisations and highly classified bodies. As Technical Director he is responsible for overseeing design and implementation, drawing on his industry experience to deliver the right solutions.

I'm a great advocate of technology and innovation. I ensure the team remain trained to a high level, skilled and able to respond to customer challenges. This is a must if you're to recommend the right solutions.
